Lasagna Recipe
Lasagna
Filling:
1 lb ground beef or turkey
Salt, pepper to taste
14 oz can of tomato sauce
2 teaspoons of dried oregano leaves
Sauce:
2 Tablespoon flour
2 Tablespoon butter
2 cups of whole milk
Other ingredients:
1 package dried lasagna
8 ounces ricotta cheese
4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
2 ounces shredded Parmesan cheese
Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet. Add the tomato sauce and oregano leaves after browning and simmer for about 30 minutes on low heat. Season to taste and set aside.
Prepare the sauce by melting the butter in a sauce pan. Add the flour and brown the flour for a couple of minutes, then lower the heat and whisk the milk into the flour mixture and cook until thickened. Set aside.
Cook the lasagna according to package directions.
Start layering by putting down one row of lasagna and topping it with the meat sauce mixture. Add another layer of lasagna and top with ½ of the ricotta cheese and ½ of the white sauce. Top with another layer of lasagna and add the remaining meat sauce and ricotta cheese. Finish with another layer of lasagna and top with white sauce, the shredded mozzarella, and the Parmesan.
Cook for about 1 hour in a 350 degrees Fahrenheit oven and serve.
