Snowman Cupcakes Recipe
You really don’t need much to be creative in a holiday season. There is so much inspiration and so many different ideas out there to create exciting foods for the season.
One of the easiest ones are cupcakes. You can use homemade batter or store-bought cake mixes and have a lot of fun decorating.
Snowman Cupcakes Recipe
1 box cake mix
2 boxes whipped frosting
10 ounces of good quality chocolate
1/3 cup of vegetable oil
20 pieces of large, round jet puffed marshmallows
20 pieces of small round jet puffed marshmallows
Round chocolate mold
1 tube of black decorating gel
20 pieces of colorful round candy for the nose
40 pieces of pretzel sticks
Bake the cupcakes according to the package directions. Let it cool. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate with the oil in the microwave using 30 second intervals until melted and mix in between each interval. Dip each small marshmallow in the chocolate and set aside. Use the remaining melted chocolate to fill the round chocolate molds and allow to set in the refrigerator, along with the small marshmallows for about 1 hour.
Once set, assemble the chocolate hats by sticking a small chocolate covered marshmallow to each molded round by heating the bottom of each marshmallow and sticking it to the top of each round. Set in the fridge for about 15 minutes.
Pipe the frosting on each cupcake. Arrange a large marshmallow on the frosting to make the face of the snowman. Decorate with the piping gel to make a face. Add the nose. Arrange the hats on top of each marshmallow. Stick the pretzel sticks as arms and have fun!
